【第857回】「We are Yugakkan English Club」マーク ヒーギンス （英語）
In Japan, club activities are an important part of many students’ daily lives. Club activities are a great way to practice something you enjoy doing, fostering friendships with other classmates and making many memories of your life in high school. When I came to Yugakkan, I was so happy to hear there was an English club. Together with Mr. Watanabe, I have been very lucky and privileged to spend many years participating with students who enjoy English. At Yugakkan, we do many activities in English club: We play many games where we can use English. We have exciting English conversations. We have study sessions before the tests. We watch English movies. We study for all levels of Eiken and we sometimes have a Christmas or Halloween party. Some club members have even passed eiken level two.
At this time, many third-year students are preparing for life after high school; whether it be university, junior college, trade school or searching for employment, everyone is busy. It is a bittersweet moment when our members retire from the club to move on to their next stage in life. However, we are always happy to know that they will do their best for their future.
At Yugakkan, there are many clubs to join. If you haven’t joined a club yet and want to practice English, regardless of your ability, if you want to make friends with other classmates, if you want to learn from friendly seniors, if you want to try Eiken, or if you want to make happy memories of your school life, you will always be welcome to come by. Let’s enjoy Yugakkan English club together!!
日本では、部活動は多くの学生の日常生活において重要な部分です。
部活動は、自分の好きなことを練習する素晴らしい方法であり、クラスメートとの友情を育み、高校生活の多くの思い出を作ることができます。
遊学館に来たとき、英語クラブがあると聞いてとても嬉しかったです。渡辺先生と一緒に、英語を楽しむ学生たちと参加できたことは、とても幸運で特権だと思っています。
遊学館では、英語クラブで多くの活動を行っています。
英語を使えるゲームをたくさんプレイし、楽しく英会話を学び、テスト前には勉強会を開いています。
また、英語の映画を観たり、すべてのレベルの英検の勉強をしたり、時にはクリスマスやハロウィンのパーティーも開催します。
中には英検2級に合格した部員もいます。
この時期、多くの3年生が高校卒業後の生活に向けて準備をしています。
大学、短大、専門学校、または就職活動など、それぞれ忙しい日々を送っています。
部員が次のステージへ進むために退部するのは、少し切ない瞬間ですが、彼らが未来のために頑張っていることを知ると、いつも嬉しく思います。
遊学館には参加できるクラブがたくさんあります。
まだクラブに入っていなくて、英語を練習したい方、クラスメートと友達になりたい方、優しい先輩から学びたい方、英検に挑戦したい方、学校生活の楽しい思い出を作りたい方は、いつでもお越しを歓迎します。
